Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine

Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive method of surgery . In arthroscopic surgery (also called key-hole surgery) the Orthopaedic surgeon makes a tiny incision and works with a lighted camera lens that is no larger than a pencil to look inside the joint. Thanks to the small incision, most patients feel less pain and experience faster recovery after arthroscopic surgery than compared to traditional surgery.

Often the patient is comfortable enough to stay awake during the procedure and watch it on a television screen! Many surgical procedures that used to be performed with complex open surgery are now performed with arthroscopic surgery. Using arthroscopy, for example, a surgeon may reattach the torn ends of a ligament or reconstruct the ligament by using a piece (graft) of healthy tendon from the patient .

Dr M.M.Kudapali , arthroscopy surgeon under went ISAKOS arthroscopy fellowship training under eminent arthroscopy surgeon Dr. David Rajan, Coimbatore. Since last year he has done more then 30 cases of knee arthroscopy and meniscal surgery and 20 cases of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. He as well done shoulder and ankle arthroscopy. All patients are doing fine.

Hand surgery

Increased industrialization has increased the number of hand injury. Getting functioning hand is very important for the patient. We have immense experience in treating hand injury.

Joint Replacements

Knee osteoarthritis and hip osteoarthritis are common problem in our society. They are disabling disease, may end in requiring replacement surgery. We recently started doing total hip and total knee replacement surgery in our hospital.

Paediatric Orthopaedics

As part of corporate-social responsibility to provide quality treatment to a needy we at Sanjeevini Hospital with the help of BMM Ispat Ltd started “ANURAG” program to treat CTEV children free of cost. We have treated around 150 such children mainly by Ponseti method in just last two year. We got very good response. We have treated patients not only from near by districts, but even from Tumkur, Gulbarga and near by districts of Andhrapradesh.
